I wanted to know a bit more about the breeding process and I read a study done about the breeding process saying that the pheromones where specie-specific but not subspecie-specific, meaning for example, a Thmanophis sirtalis will mate with any subspecie of Thamnophis sirtalis but not with any Thamnophis "non-sirtalis". Has anyone here observed the same behavior?
I'm asking this because my enclosure is big enough to host at least two couples and I was wondering if it was safe to have two different species in the same enclosure (I've got another enclosure the same size but I might use it for some Scheltopusik, aka Ophisaurus apodus although their lifespan kind of scares me, since I'm already 28 and can't say i've got the heathiest way of life there is

)
