Until recently I thought Rosies were okay, but there has been some debate that they may in fact contain quite large amounts of thiaminase.... maybe best to switch to a known 'safe' fish such as salmon or trout. Have you tried 'scenting' pinkies with fish?

I had an eastern that looked like this. First, he needed a higher humidity... misting him twice a day helped, and so did wet bagging him. But secondly, he had a parasite, and treatment for this put the finishing touches on his recovery. I wonder if your goldfish might have carried a parasite...
