It varies, sometimes you might not even know until the last minute, sometimes you're sure that they're gravid weeks in advance... then you're wrong. There are no hard and fast rules. If you haven't seen them mating you just don't know. Keep a close eye on her, and hopefully you'll be a 'breeder' soon!
The gestation period is normally between 90 - 120 days... but even this can vary as the females can store live sperm for use later.
