One question
Hey,
I'm wondering if a Common Garter snake (Thamnophis sirtalis) and a Banded water snake (Nerodia fasciata) could be crossed together so that they could have babies? I would NEVER do anything that stupid, I'm just wondering ![]() Thanks. |

Re: One question
Okay, thanks
![]() But I've heard that a garter snake and a corn snake has been interbred, so are you sure? I mean I think Thamnophis and Nerodia are closer relatives than garters and corns. I'm just wondering because I know couple of people who keeps a garter and a water together and I think it wouldn't be very nice if they.. you know. And sorry, I know my english isn't very good ![]() |

Re: One question
I can't find that page anymore :/
But it was there just like "for example"-style, so maybe it hasn't even ever happened. So, they (Nerodia fasciata & Thamnophis sirtalis) wouldn't ever interbreed, right? great, and thank you ![]() And Härski is doing well ![]() |

Re: One question
Welcome to the forum
. There is always a chance, but it's probably a small one. I have not heard of hybrids between them. To be certain, you can put only snakes of 1 gender together and you certainly won't have a problem. |
