it seems to depend on the size/age of the snake and the conditions they're kept under. my largest clutch was 8, unfortunately only 1 made it, but i heard of much higher numbers from other people in this forum.

I have noticed that some western species have smaller litter with larger babies. My red spot had 7 babies that were about 8 inches long last year.
