"Worms" all over

Last night I found this:

44 perfect babies (T.s.s "Florida Blue"). No defects, no dead ones and no infertile eggs.
The "little" female should give birth soon too

Best wishes
Søe

Wow Soe, that looks very nice.
44 young is a very nice number. Well done!

Do you think you can find enough new keepers for them?

Re: "Worms" all over

Hi
The same female gave birth to 29 babies in April 2006. They were easely sold even surplus males, and many asked for them in Houten. Strangely enough I had some problems selling my other Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis

Locality "Chilton road, Montevallo, Chilton county Alabama"

They are very rare in that area, but a friend collected a female, and I found a male the day before I should go home. They bred and I got a nice clutch of them too.
I kept a few for myself and I do find them very beautiful

Best wishes
Søe

Re: "Worms" all over

Congratulations, Søe.

I bet 44 babies could be "a bit" overwhelming if you don't know what to expect. Personally, I'm already waiting in horror for that first batch.

Any idea how many babies you could expect from a female that hasn't been bred before?

Cool Re: "Worms" all over

Hi Soe, you were in Houten on October 8 this year?
Than I might have looked at your table.

It's a small world.
