When describing snakes, what do the different numbers in front of the name mean?

Male.Female.Unknown sex.
So 1.1 would be 1 male and 1 female. 0.2.6 would be 2 females and 6 unsexed.

Thank you, James. But I'm right-brained and have great difficulty with things like math.

How can one snake have... OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh! So that means a person - if they have 1.1 - has ONE male and ONE female of that species for a total of two. Correct?
