25 bright shiny SQUIGGLIES!!
Well... between today and yesterday so many of us were having babies that I guess my biggest girl decided to join the fun! As some of you probably remember, I caught her in early spring (march/april-ish)... a great big female with a big scar on her head and at the time, had some scale rot under her chin I wanted to fix up. I didn't know at that time she was gravid, but well... that soon changed!
Last night, me and the boyfriend were jsut about to go to bed at 12:30 when my phone rang. odd... it's my mom! even odder.... I pick up the phone and she says "shannon I just peeked in your snake room and there is BABY SNAKES EVERYWHERE!!! I was like OMG so of course I simply HAD to go see them... so here me and my tired boyfriend are at 1 am at my house catching baby snake after baby snake in the aspen! Mama snake was still having them when we arrived... There were 2 stillborn. But I KNEW that I saw the one move... and I simply could not leave him alone... well.. after a HALF hour of being massaged and poked and mini CPR'ed (not quite literally).... the live baby count went up one! He took a HUGE gasp of air... then a few minutes of nothing... my dad is saying shannon hes DEAD give him to the tiger salamander... I was like.. no!!! Well sure enough he came to! The final count is 25 live sqirmy spermies.. So itty bitty! I apologize for the lack of pictures just yet, Sorry, I dont have any pictures of the little squigglies... no one in my family was home and I dont have my key (its inside haha) so they will come laterrrrr ![]() to hold you out, here are a few of the proud (and now much more athletic looking) mama! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() about two weeks ago she was pretty chubby!

Congrats! What a great job you did bring the baby back. Maybe you will have to keep that one?
