T. radix Ranch
Spot's legacy
Last year the T.radix Ranch lost a few snakes but none is missed more than Spot. She was a breeding female with some unusual light spots(hence her name) along her back and sides. I truly believe she gave her life so her babies could live. Of course, I know this wasn't done with her knowledge but I still find it so interesting that the cancer that killed her seemed to remain non aggressive until her babies were born. Then, it only took a few weeks for it to spread and her time was then short.
Only one of her babies ever inherited any so-called spots. Now that she is much larger I thought I would post a photo of this area. She's the smallest of all her siblings. She has sisters that are almost twice her size. Her name is One-spot. She's a very nice radix.
