One of my 5 10 10 females gave birth to 1 het normal! I didn't know they could or would mate at such a young age. Idid not do anything to instill breeding behavior. back tracking it should of occured at around 6 mths. I'm not even sure which one, never noticed any mateing behavior.I cleaned out the enclosure to check for more and seperated her in a small container, unfortunately i have to go into work so i'll have to get more set ups tosplit them up and get the little guy started eating. by all accounts she seems very healthy.

She grabbed her first guppy, so no problem with feeding response. I'll let her settle a while and see if i can figure out the upload pictures to the post.

OK, I must have missed something. What snake are we talking about here? There is always the possibility that the snake produced a fertile egg without mating. It happens. If that's the case, the offspring tend to be exact clones. Look for distinguishing patterns or marks on the mother, then see if the baby has them too.

This was one of the group who were born May 10 of last year. I've kept a group of 8 i still have males and females together not thinking anything would happen till at least after a year anyway but it did!

I think Jon Coote reported a very surprising early mating in his book. What can you say ... textbooks are a guide .... but I've always planned to keep males and females separate from birth.

T.Marcianus, i have albinos and hets, I recently aquired a Concinuss Richard if you look in my albums i have pictures. I got the concinuss in a trade for an adult male albino checkered and 2 females from lastyears brood at the a reptile expo in Manassa Va. last week.
