They ovulate when they want. If they haven't mated, there is no fertilization and they birth just the egg.

Thought I'd update with a behavioural report - She's spending her time between only two 'zones' of the viv. In shifts of approx 30 mins she's spending her time between the hotspot, 29-31C, and the center of the enclosure, 24-26C. She's been a lot more visible over the last 3 days with this constant obsession with thermoregulation.
