Done just to start all over again...
Hi guys.I finished decorating the new enclosure for my florida blue, just to find out the waterpart was not waterproof.... it leaked into the substrat and out of the vivarium.... I did not think about the fact that glueing plastic foam with a silicone containing acid is a very bad idea..... #%¤"#/(=(&%#! how stupid can one be? Any way here is som photos... Started by building the foundation of the rocks in plastic foam.... Then i put on some hobbyconcrete bought for the purpose, along with glueing cork toe the sides and bottom of the enclosure After a night of drying i painted the "rocks" Finally I put in substrate, plants, water, fish and the snake. As I said, I screwed up and I'm currently building a new waterpart build up around plates clear acryllic plast... will post pictures of the final result....

Wow, that looks really neat. Looks like you put a lot of work into making your snake's dwelling a real nice place. Too bad you had to start over, though. I wish you luck making it quick!

Oh well, live and learn I guess!!
That's too bad, but it looks like it's going to be really nice when you get it done. I like the idea of incorporating the water right into the tank instead of just a water dish. Does it make it harder to change the water that way, or do you just siphon it out? Let me know, and good luck - it looks great! ![]()
