Garter to tank ratio

Here's a question I've been wondering about. How many snakes can live comfortably in different sized terrariums. Start for instance with a 20 Long. Say two? Three? I'm curious so that I can have something new to day dream about. Like when I finally can have a house to call my own. How many would fit comfortably in a 150 gallon? K maybe not that big. But I'm curious as to what your opinion on that is.

well just do this when you own your own home turn a spare room into its own snake enclosure seperate it down the middle to seperate the males from females and put repti carpet on the whole floor maybe some other supstrate in some areas and decerate like a huge snake enclosure hangs basking lights add a little fountain lol

sorry for rambling but thats what i dream about

anyways i have a 30 gal i have 2 adulta females and 2 juvies in it once they are al full grown i think only 3 adults females up to 28" should fit comfortably but even that is pushing it if they are 36" then only 1 or 2 so a 20 long should be good for about 2 garters i think

yeah.... i'd say around 1 adult per 10 gallons should be a good ratio

Sweet So when I finally get a 150 gallon I can put fifteen snakies in there Hehehehe I think I'd have to do something very unique with a tank that enormous. Maybe find a way to make a circular river that actually has a current And maybe multiple levels with lots of hides to make it almost impossible to clean out entirely

if you do multiple levels i would say make it out of something easy to clean or cover with something easy to clean like repticarpet or a substrate that can be easily vacumed out like carefresh

Dang I'd wanna see 15 garters in a 150 gal! That's be insane. I think we have a 40 gal long(not sure...might be a 30) and were just gonna have our one girl in there

ive got a 30 gal tank its basically like a 20 long that is taller so there is lots of room for climbing branches

Yeah I can't wait till I can get a bigger tank for my guys. I love watching them climb all over the branches and leaves I've got set up in their current one.
