I just bought a 20 Gallon Long aquarium and will have it tonight... I won't have a screen cover until I get to the pet store (On Monday). Any ideas on what I could cover it with? I would really like him to get into that ASAP!

Don't even try to put him in it until you get that top, and don't forget the aftermarket screens need the clips that hold them on. Never fail to clip it down or your snake will escape. Don't try using weights to hold it down. Snakes often will push just enough to get under it and can get injured or pinned.
From now on, I'll treat others like they treat me. Some will be glad, others should be scared

What do you mean by the clips? I have looked for them before and have had no luck... Anything at Petsmart? Could you possibly give me a link?

Get two sets. The small parts shown in this set are useless. I don't even know what they are for. There's no instructions. You need 4 of the big ones and there are two in each package. You need one on each end, one on each side. You have to bend them to the correct angle to get them to clip on tightly.

This is the one i see there. It comes in several sizes including 20gal. From 5gal all the way to 55gal. The price ranges from 8.99 to 24.99. Not sure if it comes with clips, but those are definitely needed. That's why i get sliders.
EDIT: and of course, Richard posted the clips.

None of them come with clips. Clips are usually sold separately and are located with the screen tops in the stores. I prefer the sliding top tanks myself but if you want to use an old aquarium, you have to buy a screen top and clip it on. That's the only way I could make use of my 55 gallon long tank but they don't sell the tops that big in the store, I had to order it online. Don't worry so much about gallons as dimensions. measure your top to make sure you get the right size. Pets stores generally have the standard 10 gallon, and 20 gallon long size. Occasionally, they have the tiny ones for 5.5 gallon tanks.
