Well, my 'man-flu' became slightly less trivial. I have developed an inner ear infection in both ears! I was up all night in agony, searching for pain relief. I saw the doc this morning, he's put me on antibiotics and off work for a few days. Every cloud has a silver lining!

Thank you, Stefan. The Quack gave me some serious pain relief that has put me on something of a high, so that added to the fact that my balance is all over the place gives a feeling of inebriation that I find quite pleasant! Also, I'll be off work for my birthday... good result all round!

So, according to GMT it's only three hours until my birthday. I can only guess that the forum is so quiet this evening because you are all out there purchasing greetings cards and extravagant gifts... you really shouldn't!
