Did you ever try the Hartz flea and tick powder for cats that was mentioned in an earlier thread? I tried it and had fantastic results. Got rid of all mites in one treatment, no re-occurance and no ill effects on the Garters. Good luck.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh
I just remembered that I asked my new vet to check the usage guidelines and relative merits of frontline and advantage
as soon as I can talk, I'll call her meanwhile it's the snake oil treatment (he loves it) so far nothing evil's turned up in other tanks I am much sicker though I even found myself thinking earlier "i don't care if the crickets die" this was right after I got through serving the lizards their greens Stefan sympathies

Rhea, I hope you and Mikhaila feel better soon. There are some nasty bugs going around these days. And it's always much worse when you can't even stay home and rest.
Good luck with the mite battle as well. Take care!

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh
on a more cheerful note
(besides the fact that I am still sick and at work again) I am getting a boyfriend for Sammy from Scott and if all goes well, she'll have babies this year also he found an anery plains baby in his basement and is sending it to me apparently this baby was very dehydrated, but seems to be doing fine now both of my anery plains garters are leaving their age-mates in the dust as far as growth, and I'm curious whether this new baby will catch up

My iguana, Speedy laid 23 eggs last night! Now I'm at 1.4.1 iguanas
(I didn't know her gender until today). They look to all be duds, but I'm gonna freeze them just in case since there be a man in that room ![]() Here she is all skinny today with an inset of a shot from last week. ![]() It's hard to believe she could have this many crammed in her belly! They were all bright white and soft this morning, now they're all going yellow and getting rock like. One fell off the tank top and broke earlier today ![]() ![]() I'm heating up the bathroom so she can have a nice long warm soak. She doesn't seem tired, just speedy as usual
