Oh this is just getting nicer all the time. Can't get a new motherboard, because none of the new ones support my processor, my video card, my memory modules and quite possibly my hard drive and DVD players.

And just because I haven't upgraded anything since 2006.

I need one new component, I have to buy 7. Well, there goes that SLR. In fact, there are only two parts I don't have to replace.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

I had the same thing last year when I wanted to replace my sound card. It wouldn't fit into the mother board, which I replaced...... then the other 'stuff' wouldn't fit the new mother board. Then the new package of bits wouldn't fit in the case!!!

The Little Orphan Annie dog... that's why he looks so familiar! I've heard that turkeys are so dumb that they'll stand with their mouths up and open in the rain and drown. Is that a wives tale?

I'm awfully in love with Ollie, too... having a hard time adopting him out... he's such a COOL dog. I can't imagine what mix he is!! He reminds me of the Little Orphan Annie dog.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

It is a wives tale, but, I can see where it originated because turkeys are non-stop curious and obsessed with all things shiny. I've seen mine staring up at the raindrops when it's a light rain. Also, mine never sleep under shelter at night, they roost in the trees... so maybe some kept penned without any shelter would have really drowned?? I think it was more bad management than mass rain-induced suicide... lol!!

I love them, they have sooooo much personality. Except, they come up onto the porch and drive the dgso nuts by pecking at the sliding glass doors, and then we have a turkey/dog free or all thru the windows... by the same note, Rio the goat tends to bash the glass doors when she's feeling negelcted. That's not so cute...LOL!!!

Lori, if I ever get a chance to travel your way, I'm going to visit you for a few days! Your place sounds like so much fun, bet there's a laugh a minute with all those kooky animals! Your life is never boring, I'm sure........

you should check ebay, some of my students are making a fortune selling good but older pc parts... people (like you) are crying out for them so they don't have to upgrade everything!!
