Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

2+2= 4 X
2-1= 1 X
2x3= 6 X

Must try harder!

Try these:
What is the formula for the increase in speed of a free falling object?
How long is a piece of string?
What price glory?

If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

My answer: The same as for any other accelerating object.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

No, rate of acceleration would vary depending on the force driving the object. The force in this instance being gravity, 'free-falling' would exclude such aerodynamic objects as feathers etc.... let's say, for the sake of argument, a small steel sphere dropped from a great height.

The formula is still the same.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

It can't be... My car accelerates at an alarmingly slow rate... especially at traffic lights!
There is a recognised formula for free fall acceleration.
