Well, I had some really good luck today. A neighbor wanted a "snake" removed from his daughters yard. Now I have another gravid female Eastern. Will post a photo as soon as she shed's....very dull looking a the moment.

My home is being invaded!! We have a rather good sized wasp nest up in the attic vent.
I've been collecting quotes from the pest control people, and I was just told something that totally surprised me by one of them. The receptionist said: "Well, he probably wouldn't even be interested in doing the job, because it's so extensive, and he'll have to go up on the roof.....that's pretty risky...." Can you believe it??? Of course it's a big job, and risky. Why the hell do they think we're calling the professionals?!?   I'm still shaking my head at that one!

No, we won't have to resort to moving out!!
I just found a guy who thinks he can do it, as long as his ladder reaches that high. And he's the cheapest quote so far too. We'd do it ourselves it we could get up there. And if wasps didn't have stingers......
