my nemesis - that's what - the evil poke weed
last year I had some towering above tall people all along these stones



I dug them out from under that stone plate that's now sunk a little
I've been keeping my eyes on this area and I swear to you, that healthy looking sample on the right was not there last night
I did work on it this morning and this is all I got

it's that pale thing disappearing in the dirt under the walkway
and no - I'm not going to dig under there
I'm considering injecting the stump with distilled white vinegar
any thoughts on that?

I'd try the vinegar first, if you're not into chemicals. But as LeAnn said, Round-up usually does the trick.
I hate weeds, I fight a losing battle against them every year.
