You know, it's amazing how fast this forum is growing. I remember when I first joined, only 7 months ago, and if I missed a day, there were just a handful of posts to catch up on. Now if I miss even half a day there's usually over a hundred waiting for me!

Speaking of finishing things,
I just put the last of 4 cakes in the oven. My mom is retiring next week after 45  years, and we're throwing her a party. I'm the baker, so I get to make a slab cake to feed 35 people. YAY!One solid day of baking, and another full one to fill, frost and decorate it. Should keep me out of trouble for a while!

I can't believe my mom is 65! She has more energy than I do.
And I don't think she's planning on sitting around after retirement either. Last I heard she was thinking of working from home as a receptionist for my brother-in-law's landscaping company. She sure isn't one of those 'bake cookies and sit in a rocker knitting' type grandmas!!
