I thought I saw a pattern in mine, but it turned out to be random.

They're up early in the morning, sleep during the middle of the day, and move around in the evening and nght some until I turn their light and heat pad off.

Mine are usually more active if I feed them a lighter meal than usual too.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

There was a thread somewhere, once, about periods of activity, in fact I think I might have started it. It's worth dragging up again though, don't you think?

I reckon Checkereds are active in the late evening because they come from a warmer area (Texas etc). Any thoughts?

It would be interesting to hear from Robert (DEKAN) about the time of day his Mexican Black Bellied Garter is active.

Do you know exactly where in Texas? They are supposed to live here, but I've lived here 8 years and I've never seen one.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

Elliot, I think they are not found in extreme Eastern Texas and not on the coast, but widespread elsewhere.

That'd explain it, come to think of it, I've never seen a garter in real life!
