I've not been in ages. Somewhat of a slow group. I'm not all that comfy there yet. And I really don't like the format as well as this one. Maybe I'll hop over more often now that I know 'Rockster's there.

Yeah, not on there much... But I check in every now and then!
I thought her comment on not wanting to deal with "irresponsible sales, like those on craigslist and such all the time" was odd... When was the last time you saw a garter on craigslist? I mentioned I would understand better if it where a more popular species. I think most people on a garter forum or list care about their animals. But oh well!!

I thought the exact same thing. I have to laugh about craigslist... I check it all the time for garters - just in case.

Last time I saw a garter on craigslist... It was a year ago. A WC adult male checkered. I don't know why they didn't just let it go. *Shrugs*. So I drove an HOUR to go get it.
 Nice lady... Seemed to really care about the snake and gave me some cool supplies as well... Interesting part... The snake appeared to be paralized and completely limp from mid body down... And was COVERED in large bumps from white long worms beneath the skin... I have NEVER seen a wild garter in this condition. I took him. Kept him very seperate from my collection and began to remove the worms by the vets advice. (THAT was a DISGUSTING ordeal!!) Now a YEAR later. I have finally got the last of the worms. And interestingly enough... The limp paralysis is completely gone except for the last centimeter of the tail. Huh!! I'll take it! He ate, pooped etc completely normal the whole time. But anyways. Off the subject just thought I would mention that.
