Also, you may want to make sure you don't feed him until you get that prolapse checked/fixed by a vet.
He'll be fine without the food; Our turtle brumates herself at a little below room temp and she's fine for the 5 months she does it without food.

I have an ornate boxie turtle and Yes that looks like prolapse. Probably needs to go to a vet asap. The 2 are a 3toed boxie and the other one looks like an eastern boxie. For food give them nightcrawlers, wax worms, silkworms, superworms. Veggies they can have tomatos and some fruit. Be careful with the bananas they can give them the runs lol. I am glad your friend got them turtles. that is so sad how they were cared for. I would love to have them also LOL. The 3-toed with red eyes is a male

Lori, you may notice I moved your prolapsed turtle thread to here.....
I thought it best in view of this newly posted thread Finding Lost Threads. The Urgent Care forum is pretty much a Garter Snake forum, rather than part of the more 'open' areas. Hope you understand.
