Man there so many things i can say right now but am not because when i get pissed i start to rip someone a new one..
My dad was in the Vietnam war 4 years of hell and being a POW.. He came back messed up because of it.. He cry's every damn time when he hears another person dies over seas.. The phones rings he screams and jumps on top of it all he has medical problems from being over there... He now has Alzheimer.. Don't remember much about the people around him now but you ask him about over seas he remember down to the last detail..
But you know what he don't regret going over there and facing the **** he was in because he love our country and loved the people he fought for.. He IS a hero my hero.. If anyone one think's he's stupid for it he defended his right to be stuiped a hundred times over..
And he'd gladly do it again... In a heart beat. As do the GREAT men and women do today fighting in the war for the USA.. Which is sadly more then i can say for some people..
Im on your side LULU

Here in Canada, the moment of silence is something so ingrained most of us wouldn't even think twice. We've been doing it since kindergarten, at school, at church, even in many workplaces I've been in. I've even had a bus stop for a moment of silence in the middle of it's route, and all the city buses with LED signs read "Lest we Forget" all day long on Nov. 11.
I probably would have been floored if I were anywhere that it was requested and someone denied or made a fuss over that request. Even the students I went to school with from other cultures never made an issue during this one minute every Remembrance Day. It's just something we do here.
I understand your frustration, Lu.
Just forget i even shared my beliefs with you today. If i have learned anything today is look after number 1. don't give a cr*p about anybody else and nobody can hurt you.
I have bit my tongue on soooooo many occasions when i strongly disagreed with someone, especially when religion is concerned (i am an athiest) but i respect other peoples opinions and just listen when someone wants to vent. Then why Stefan, is it sooo hard for you to show the same curtesy?
Thank you.
You will always find at least one person that does not give a **** about anything.I don't give them people a second look.
At work today we did have a moment of silence at the 11th hour.I could never imagine what the vets of the world went through.
