Fantastic animals. And I'm not even that much of a gecko fan.

Really lovely animals!
But Underwoodisaurus? Surely that's not a true species?

My god, you guys (and girl) are quick!

Underwoodisaurus is a real species. Believe it or not, scientists found the ...under wood! Hence the name...

@ stefan: Gecko's and Garters, a great combination!

gotta love these 'frogs'

Always been more of a skink fan, but I can definitely see why so many people love geckos. What are they like?

I've kept a few geckos in the past, my favourite was always Ptychozoon kuhli and Gekko gecko.

Re: Some of my other stuff...

It depends. Most gecko's are very curious. Some are very silly (like the cilliatus) they climb up the highest branch / stick and them jump down, head first, on a cricket. There favorite sleeping position is head down in the green.

The leopardgecko's react to what you are doing. Alse very curious and always climbing on your hands.
The oedura are very alert and always keeping an eye on me. And since they've got huge eyes, its very fun to watch.
The pictus are the most 'garter like' Always cruising around, but still quite shy. And they produce 2 eggs every 5 days...almost sickening...hahahaha
The underwoodisaurus are brutal and always trying to impress you. They wave their tails, stand high on their legs, very cool to watch!
And all of them have very natural behaviour when I'm observing them (with a headlight on )

Ahhh...the gecko gecko...lovely animals...
Had to handle a few in the shop where I worked...I'm glad they let go quite quickly...I always thought they would hang on for ever...

Kuhli are like garters, lovely animals but not appreciated by 'the public'
