Justin, your find is a Milk Snake. The photo below is a JV Black Rat. A good bit of difference in the markings.

hey,
what super looking little Eastern Milksnake!!it's been many years since Ive' seen or even heard of one in our area,sad.,with it being only a few weeks old,in know time he'll be taking thawed pinkies.he'll grow a good 1 inch a month,but with it being wild caught,around Oct/Nov it could stop eating for a bit,just make sure he's got daily water,keeping trying the pinkies.by Dec/Jan ,should start feeding weekly again,our Baby Fox snake ,did that,the first few months after it was caught,last (late) Aug.06.
If your not familiar with these,remember it from the Kingsnake family,they don't go after other snakes like the Kingsnakes do,but they've been known to eat younger snakes,from time to time.
