Re: Fighting like cat and dog?

I love both
I grew up in a dog family
but since I already have a child, I'm opting for cats as pets
dogs are so needy
and Jeff absolutely doesn't want any
but Mikhaila and I go to the rescue and take dogs for walks - all the fun without the vet bills
oh yeah - and there's that . . .
any medical intervention that'll cost $75.- on a cat, will be $500.- on a dog

Re: Fighting like cat and dog?

I prefer cats to dogs, mainly because of the care. I don't really take kindly to being woken up at 3am during a blizzard in January because someone has to pee!
And having a dog just seems like having another child, one that never becomes independent.
Now that I am older, I find myself less inclined to have any pets with fur. I just don't have the ambition to vacuum every day, or buy lint rollers by the dozen. I like being able to wear black clothing without hair all over it!

LOL.....I feel your pain....I have a huge white cat and I wear a lot of black. Really sucks!!!! Especially if it's at night, you get dressed and all looks ok and then go out to a club where they have black lights and suddenly you're all lit up with cat hair!

Here's my big shedding machine..Blaze

Omg, Blaze really is huge!! And just gorgeous!!

Do you guys mean, it is possible to wear clothing without dog/cat/horse/goat hair all over it?? Wow. Such a unique concept. I'm not sure I understand... lol

Re: Fighting like cat and dog?

Each species views the world very differently. I do not find either 'smarter' then the other. A dog is a pack animal thus the status of the household is very important to them. That's why they are so sensitive to the mood in their environment & feel the need to be part of it. Cats are primarily concerned about their territory. They live solitary lives ... I share my life & home with both

Best,

I love both, but I prefer dogs more. Because they are always there for you, where as a cat is only there for you when they feel like being there lol. But I do love both.

My breed, Turkish Angoras, are noted for being "dog-like" and "devoted"... and I do find that they are there for me. In fact, you can read a cute story about travelling the cat show circuit, and the girl who "mothered" me during a migraine that was brought on by my car breaking down on the road... the story is 2-3 paragraphs near the bottom of the page.

TURKISH ANGORA CATS - Antioch Turkish Angoras

And more currently, there is Shadow... when I am watching a sad movie, and my eyes mist up, Shadow jumps to my lap and is all over me, licking and rubbing her face against me, like "What's wrong, Mom?"

But we have "his and hers" dogs too... Danny and Riley.

GOSH! I don't have to CHOOSE, do I?
