Re: Green Anoles
Definitely fun lizards.
High tank recommended, will need UVB, one male per tank max (unless it's really big). Had green anoles once, almost bought browns, but luckily I invested in my first garter instead.

Re: Green Anoles
I didn't know there were green and brown, I thought they just turned green and brown......Duh
any way they are fun to have and are very fast, I had I think five in a 10gallon, they love a little hide and twigs and stuff of that nature, as for food they love crickets, and meal worms, but I think the meal worms are more like a treat.........they are kool so go for it................![]()

Re: Green Anoles
Green anoles were one of the first store-bought reptiles I ever kept, when I was pretty young. had them in a 20g tank on my dresser. Pretty cool when they stick their dewlaps out.
I was actually thinking today, wouldnt it be awesome to build a monster display cage, like 6 ft tall x 6 foot wide x 3 foot deep, and outfit it with awesome reptile lighting and misters and tons of branches, and put a whole bunch of green anoles in it? I bet they would be very active and fun to watch in such a large cage, and probably breed well. Then you could get one of those really long green vinesnakes(in a separate cage) to feed the offspring to. ![]()

But they look very different from green anoles that have just turned brown.

Re: Green Anoles
its really hard to know if its a brown anole or green anole when your catching them in the wild because the green ones turn dark brown or brown when scared, sick, or stressed
