well, all but 2 of the eggs were infertile... nothing inside. The other two are doing well... growing plumper and lets hope for 1.1!!!

I've never had eggs from anything other than chickens, so I'm wondering how you can tell
can you actually see that they're empty at a certain point?
do you have to hold them up to light?

You can candle snake eggs just like you do to chicken eggs. But with snake eggs, you can usually tell the fertile ones from the not fertile ones almost immediately. And if not, they will show themselves within a few days of incubation... they wills tart to shrivel up and decay. I had a big suspicion that since only a few of the eggs had an harder white outer shell layer that most of the clutch was not going to work out. But it's okay... I have cornsnakes and graybanded kings on the way!
