Re: I know you guys like pics.....
Never too many pictures!!!
And if you think about it, you may have saved that eastern too, what if it got say about 1/3 of the garter swallowed, and the garter were to take off? it could easily drag that little eastern around causing all sorts of esophagus damage. (a very ugly way to die) BTW, you are an excellent photographer. Regards, Wayne A. Harvey

Re: I know you guys like pics.....
Wow, Brett, that's amazing that you were there to stop that particular meal!! Very nice looking milksnake too.
Ok, madly scibbling directions to Brett's house... LOL!!!!! I'm way out in the woods, too, but I think my population of domestic animals is keeping the snakes further away from me. I've seen loads of black rat snakes while driving around, but still haven't seen the first snake of any sort around my house. Wayne, good heavens, look at that fat frog... I still can't believe the garters get them down!!! |

Re: I know you guys like pics.....
I have a picture somewhere of an eastern female who fought with a toad and won. However, it seems as if she busted a rib in the process and if I remember correctly her jaw was bleeding slightly.
**Wild snake, by the way. :P
