Sculpted a Garter!!!
Not sure how many of you know that I occasionally dabble with polymer clay sculpting... but anyways... the other day, I was playing around with a leftover chunk... made a snake shape jsut for fun.... and well it somehow turned into... a fully sculpted, scaled, painted and glazed replica of a newborn flame eastern. One minute it was clay.... next minute I was etching each scale in with a rubber band... next minute... hes flicking his tongue at me as I paint his skin while looking at a picture of Magma!!! (hope you dont mind Wayne, Magma was the model snakey)
okay.... he has a BIG head... beause even though it is the size of a fully grown garter snake.. it is a replica of a baby! Complete with baby head spots! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() while I am here, here are some other works I am working on as well. ![]()

I like your fire lizards as well. I know everyone calls them dragons, unless you have heard of "Pern" (OMG I just thought of a great resource for cool snake names!) Great sculpture, Yet another one of your photos I must "steal" for inclusion on my web site... Thanks Shannon ![]()
