so green ones are much smaller?
the only ones I've ever seen were big grey ones (blue, I guess), and white ones, and the brown and cream coloured ones we had in germany all of them were way larger than this guy even the google pics didn't look much like my mental pic of a heron okay - I'm adjusting my mental pic now - thanks learned something new . . .

Yes, it is a Green Heron and they are a great deal smaller than the other Herons. The green on the wings didn't show up much at all.
