Great photos! Yellow jackets are carnivorous, and you will see them in parking lots this time of year eating bugs off of the car bumpers.

This beautiful metallic green little gal is a cuckoo wasp Family Chrysididae. It is a parasite and lays its eggs in the nests of other solitary wasps.

It was hanging around my wasp house waiting for an opportunity. Just happened to catch parasite and host together, not the best photo but I was lucky to get it at all.
