Most of our wasps disappeared a few weeks ago, they suspect some kind of disease killed them. Apparently a few have survived.

I prefer wasps to mosquitoes
wasps only go after you when you piss them off
mosquitoes pursue you as food

I once got stung by a wasp on the back of the neck, while I was up a ladder! I squashed it between my fingers, carried down the ladder, beat it into the ground with a hammer and burned it with a blow-torch. Guess it won't be stinging me again!

Got stung by a bee once. Don't know what kind, but it was grey and hairy and had its nest underground. Stung me in my middle finger. For some odd reason I haven't had a problem with wasps. Ever.


Bifurcated one wasp with a tennis racquet this summer, though..
