It's shell measured 14 inches long.

James, it was a nice day 76 F that day and back to the mid 40's the next

Lori, the painted turtle is similar in appearance, but a much smaller species (only about 4" long)

Thanks for the compliments on the photo. I can't compete with the quality of a number of the members here, but did feel that one turned out decent.
