we went for a little walk today





there was coll fungus





there were cool bugs too - many too fast to catch images of
but this one's nice



this was a popular plant

Beautiful place to walk...........
That plant is Asclepias tuberosa, commonly known as 'Butterfly weed'. I have a bright orange version growing in my garden, but I'd love to find some in that shade of pink. Very pretty!

Not the best herping trip, not a single reptile in the first spot. Fortunately I decided to visit my backup spot. Saw plenty of Zootoca vivipara and one tiny Natrix natrix, which I didn't manage to take pictures of. I didn't see it until it was already running away and the melanistic Zootocas that I've often found in there were nowhere to be seen. Anyway, here are a few pictures.
