Re: flushed away
Yup
Here it was in the movies for about a week, maybe two. Came and went so fast, it was easy to miss, if you weren't quick about it. It's an Aardman production - the folks who brought us Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run. We totally loved it, but I guess animated sewer rats and singing slugs don't quite have the mass appeal as choreographed penguins. Rent it. It's really creative and funny - not sappy either. Rhea |

Re: flushed away
I've seen it and I have a very poor quality video cassette that has some creature comforts excerpts, plus some of the commercials for some appliance brand they made - along with an interview with Nick Parks and some of the other people.
We even have Wallace and Gromit action figures, obtained at a stoop-sale, at the irresistable price of $3.- for an entire collection, including a pie shooting machine that so scared the cats I had to let the whole thing disappear onto a high shelf until my daughter is much more mature. |

Re: flushed away
I've seen it. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen! I really want to buy it. It's so funny. Whoever came up with the idea to make singing slugs must have been a very experienced movie maker.

Re: flushed away
It is a fantastic movie! My son saw it twice in the cinema, but then it's a bit of research for him... he dreams of working for Aardman Animations someday!
Didn't Aardman split from whatever company they were working with in the States though, because the movie didn't do as well as expected? Oh, and Mikhaila, if you like the singing slugs, check out Purple and Brown, they will have you in hysterics! |
