Why can't people keep Boas and Pythons in New York State?

Re: Legal question

Probably, it's because something bad happened with a large constrictor.

Re: Legal question

Yeh, that's probably why. There are a lot of states that don't let you keep big constrictors. They're considered dangerous animals (which they can be), mainly becuase of inccidents with people who don't care for them properly and make stupid mistakes that get someone hurt or even killed.

Re: Legal question

One problem with big snakes, Mikhaila, is that they take up so much room. You can only have one or two of them, but with little snakes, you can have a bunch of them ;D.

And when big snakes poop... boy do they POOP .

Re: Legal question

But then again, they might poop with intervals of weeks or months, compared to garters that start squeezing it out a day and a half after feeding.

Re: Legal question

I don't think it's the poop per se that incites the law makers, lol
