Hi there,
we breed rough green snakes since a few years. We'd like to have pictures of them in the wild. Pictures from the www don't help us because of the copyright (we want to present them on our website). So maybe someone can help us. 2 years before we visited Florida and searched with Bill Love (but didn't find a green snake...). We would also like to visit the states for photographing them by our own, but it's only possible in july (job!). So maybe someone can help and tell us, where there are good places and times (day-/ seasontime) to fotograph them or to send us some pics? Hopefully and with best wishes. Re: Rough green snakes- fotos in the wild
Hopefully you'll find some, but if you see it on the Internet, asking the person who took the picture can do miracles
As long as the picture's are not used for commercial ends and you make a copyright reference, most will let you use the pictures. |

Re: Rough green snakes- fotos in the wild
Well they're pretty rare in my area, but they are around. I'll have to keep you in mind if I find any. If I do, you know I'll be taking pics....LOL.

Re: Rough green snakes- fotos in the wild
I should really go out and try to find some Natrix in my area... But they are only very rarely seen and I don't have a trained eye, I've never encountered 1 in the wild

Re: Rough green snakes- fotos in the wild
Nice catch Thomas. Yeh, I've only ever seen on Rough green out in the field before (no camara of course), so I'd really like to find another. Heading out this weekend, so wish me luck!

Re: Rough green snakes- fotos in the wild
Hey Tom ! I used to breed rough green's, at one time my wife and I had four dozen I've had four group's of egg's the last was nine egg's, two were albino one was white with blue eye's, the female was from florida before she died she was 46 inches, I don't do it any more because thier very hard to keep healthy, cricket's are not enough to maintain good health, so don't wast your time, they are beautiful, thank's for reading coffee.
