You probably view those arguments quite differently, but I find them poorly justified to say the least.

I believe in ghosts and you can make fun of me all you like, because I believe you can choose to believe in, or not believe in whatever you choose.

I couldn't agree less, but I'm definitely not going to make fun of anybody, because I don't believe that you can choose to believe or not believe in something.
