Vista

Not really snake related, but I thought I'd ask...Anybody using the new Windows "Vista" OS yet? If so, what do you think of it? A freind of mine has it, I haven't really tried it out but I had a quick look and it seems pretty good.

Re: Vista

Not yet. I like to let the kinks get worked out with all the peripherals before buying a new system.

Re: Vista

Haven't tried it yet, but those that have, have usually reported serious compatibility issues. I think I'll wait until they release Service Pack 2, before I start seriously considering switching to it.

Re: Vista

I also haven't tried it yet but, I have a couple friends that have it. They are now looking for a dealer version of their old windows version to install. It seams that a lot of programs won't run on vista.

Re: Vista

Not I. I do not plan on up upgrading. The only way I am going to upgrade is if I am forced. They are going to have to come and knock on my door and force me to upgrade..... brb there is someone at my door.

Jason, you're a nut!

Must've been the folks from Microsoft cause he's been gone for quite a while.

Re: Vista

I would not install it at the moment, because there will certainly be compatibility problems during the first months.

When they upgrade the laptop's at work, I'll have the new Vista. But most of the time I work in Unix ( for work ) or Linux... although since I'm working I don't take that much time anymore to figure things out and usually take the laptop

Re: Vista

Just thought of something...........Since this thread isn't about snakes, I thought I would find a connection. Vista is like "bob"......................Not very reliable. LOL

Guess what..

Microsoft Bob - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

IIRC, Bob let you in if you typed the wrong password three times in a row, "assuming" that you just forgot it.
