    Re: Fourth of July

Sounds like a war zone in my neighborhood. Fort Vancouver (WA) used to have the biggest, most expensive public fireworks display west of the Mississippi but after years of funding deficits the public display is no more.

People are making up for it with their own displays, much of it is class B window-rattling stuff. Lots more class B stuff this year going off in the neighborhoods. Mostly thanks to the internet. It's not at all difficult or illegal to order class B fireworks online shipped from China. It's just illegal to possess or light it here without a license. Like that's going to stop anyone.
From now on, I'll treat others like they treat me. Some will be glad, others should be scared

We had a ton of fireworks hit my house and shake our windows. Our dog was barking her brains out and made it impossible to sleep. She always stood right next to my rooms curtain (I have no door) and barked.

Yikes, i didn't have any hit my house, but there was a lot. But we have so many freaking trees, it was hard to see any, (less after tornando that helped). It was pretty fun.
