Lately there has been some talk about forum avatars.
I thought it would be nice to know the story behind those avatars(for those who want to share)
I'll get this started.
Mine is a photo of our girl "Ally". She passed on Sept. 28th 2009 after almost 17 years of dedicated service to my family.
She was a Brindle Boxer/pit bull mix. A family member and life saver.
My children still cry over her passing. She was my best friend and the best dog I've ever had.

Mine is a photo from Manitoba, Canada, home of the biggest garter snake hibernation site. It's my favorite kind of garter (red sided) and I've always wanted to got there. Plus it's cool because it's a bunch of garter snakes

Mine is of the toad I find on my porch a lot. It got curious and put its nose right up to my face so I got a picture of it.

I used to be a moderator on a Homestar Runner forum. While there, I developed a habit of making Stinkoman avatars. It's a recolor of a Megaman sprite, and I have about a dozen or so different ones, including Abraham Stinkoln, Bat Stinkoman, Luke Stinkowalker, Linkoman, Martin Stinkoluther, Indiana Stinko and others.

The one I use here is a version based on Steve Erwin, the late great "Crocodile Hunter".
