Found....1/3 of a snake..

I found this garter snake skeleton just like this in Kansas. I am guessing it's a garter due to where I found it, lots of red siders. The skeleton is to narrow for a water snake or the crayfish snakkes found at this pond. Cool find!!!

Re: Found....1/3 of a snake..

Under a rock... well that is why it stayed in good condition... and I wonder if the rock shifted and that is what killed it... or was it sick and just crawled in there to recuperate and did not make it...

Re: Found....1/3 of a snake..

I am thinking it was sick...no obvious injuries to the skeleton...is intact except for a couple missing ribs...
