My assistant Nikki (my daughter and fellow snake nut) helps me...she covers them with her hands to calm them down...works most of the time.....

Hmmm, maybe your snakes are slower than mine, because they sprint around like crazy, especially the babies, and I can't imagine catching them.

Nice babie! Usually new born flame garter are orange,the red pigment will increase over their first 2 years of life.This year I found many newborn flame in a spot some of them were already red!!
We did'nt find any adult in this spot ,too late in mid september.Ithink most adult flame garter are blood red in this location. Usually in other spot, only a certain pourcentage of adult flame are red ,most of them are orange(adult). You never know if a new born wild caught flame will turn red as adult . Most captive bred flame will turn apple red ,some (rusty or burgundy). I m always interresting the see the evolution of baby flame garter 'i appreciate if you show me a couple of picture until 3 years old. tanks |
