New Eastern Baby

The gravid T. s. sirtalis that I rescued had 4 healthy babies and 5 still born on the 26th. The conditions she was in, I'm suprised any were OK.
Mom and the four are doing well. Here a photo of one of the babies- 6.25 inches long.

Thanks, I'm pleased. She had some abuse with a stick when I got her and was infested with mites. The odd thing is from day one she has been the calmest Eastern I have. You would think other-wise.

That's great that mama is doing well and she was still able to deliever some nice looking babies after her ordeal.

These I'm keeping. One of the four has an unusual green color. I have some from last year and these will give me unrelated breeders in a couple of years.

Great news, Sid, lovely babies. Are you keeping the mother too? It would be nice to see photos of the greenish coloured one.

Haven't made my mind up as yet on mother, probably. She went through a lot and is still so nice to handle. The green on my favorite baby isn't showing up on photos. I'll keep trying. maybe an outdoor setting with natural lighting will help.
