Re: Baby Pictures
Thanks! I forgot to use 1 photo and he isn't exactly a baby being a year old, but this is Goldie. He is an Eastern baby that was born here. I forgot to mention, I handfed this one for over 6 months and now he is the most hateful snake I've ever had, snappy little thing.

Re: Baby Pictures
Thanks, I kept him out of all the babies because of the orange look to him. I wanted to see how he would turn out. Just recently got him to take fuzzies so he ought to grow faster now. He's so hateful that all I have to do is touch him with the fuzzy and he will strike at it. After a few times of that he finally really bites into it and down it goes. But he's just eating it to be spiteful. I also kept a female from the same batch of babies, but only because when I tried to turn her loose she wouldn't go. 3 hours later I go to where I turned them loose and she is still there. I sat down and she climbed up on me immediately. She's a momma's girl. Going to add a pic of her, she ought to be easy to photo, doesn't mind being handled at all. There, oh and she is Goldies sister.

Re: Baby Pictures
Thanks! My friends couldn't figure out why I kept him, he looked pretty plain with no red as a baby. But I thought I saw something in his coloring and wanted to see what he would look like grown. I've never seen one like him before. I've seen some called orange flames that were pretty close and they happen naturally right? Not just from special breeding? The mother was brought to me by a couple of kids that found it being beaten by a bunch of brats. She was hurt pretty badly. She lived and gave birth about a month later. I have to admit there were a bunch of colors in that batch that weren't the normal for around here. 4 or 5 were lime green, but not one of those made it, refused to eat. And there were two that were silver and black, never saw that before. Don't know if it was her getting beat up or what but about a third of those babies didn't make it.

Re: Baby Pictures
Could have been from the trama, but who's to say.....babies can be kind of tough. Yeh, you can get really nice "morphs" naturally, but it's just that most people would want to try and be able to duplicate it over and over again....that's where the "special breeding" comes in. I can definitely say you've got a good garter eye.

Re: Baby Pictures
Thanks, in the spring I may breed him to Prettyboy..(we can't always get the sex right when they are very young). She is 4 years old and has never been bred. She has a bit more yellow than is normal too, nothing like Goldie though. She's is pretty hateful herself, though it is usually bluff. Have to stay near enough to make sure she doesn't kill him for daring to come near her.
