Re: how do you tell a male t.s.pickeringii from a female?
In a female you should notice that the tail begins to taper off quite abruptly after the cloaca. In the male the tapering is more gradual (you may even notice a little swelling at the base of the tail where the inverted hemipenes lie). The tail is also comparitively longer than the females'.
