18-22 for males and like 24-28 for females right?

Probably in that area, but they can be bigger or smaller depending on their diet.

yea, she tagged me once....not too fun, but used to it, been bit many times. I have one of her babies here...more orange than red. I sent her to Scott Felzer year before last. she was older and passed away.
 I will be breeding him to my female this year. |

I see. I have a male red-sided just under 26" and a female around 35".
 Wouldn't dream of calling that female big, but she's getting nastier all the time..

I have three and they seem to be getting mellower so far will there be a turning point?

it all depends on the snake....my nasty one was wild caught in Kansas...my large female here is mellow, she was captive born.
